Salman Khan’s Sikandar Movie Review: Was It Worth the Wait?

Sikandar review

Salman Khan’s most awaited film ‘Sikandar’ has finally hit theaters. I watched the movie in the early morning 8 AM show, and now I’m here to share my thoughts on whether it truly lives up to the hype. Is this really Salman Bhai’s grand comeback, or just another average entertainer? Let’s find out.

Salman Khan’s Signature Family-Friendly Content

Salman Khan is known for his family-friendly content, and his fans will love him no matter what. In this movie, he has been portrayed as larger-than-life more than ever—so much so that it becomes hard to believe at times. But yes, like his other films, this one is also a mass entertainer packed with action, romance, emotions, and a few social messages.

Story & Screenplay

The film revolves around a character named Sanjay, who comes to Mumbai from Rajkot for some personal work. But what is this personal work? Why is he fighting enemies? What is the importance of Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj’s characters in this story? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out.

The movie starts on a strong note, especially with the plane scene (which you’ve seen in the trailer), featuring Prateik Babbar and Salman Khan’s grand entry. This scene helps connect the entire plot. However, as the story progresses, the pace slows down, and some scenes feel unnecessarily stretched. A few sequences could have been trimmed to make the film more crisp.

Action & Direction

The action sequences in the movie are creatively choreographed. If you observe closely, the camera moves more than Salman Khan himself to make the action look massive. This technique, known as ‘trick action choreography,’ makes the action sequences visually appealing on the big screen.

Rashmika & Sathyaraj’s Characters

Now, let’s talk about the supporting cast. Rashmika Mandanna’s role lacks depth, and the chemistry between her and Salman feels missing. Sathyaraj’s character is also underwhelming—he should have been given a more powerful role. Instead, he seems to be there just for a cameo, appearing in a few scenes with an aggressive expression, and that’s it.

Songs & Background Music

The songs in the movie appear out of nowhere, breaking the flow of the story. There’s no proper connection between scenes and songs. However, the background music is good and helps set the mood in certain scenes.

Social Message in the Film

The movie attempts to deliver messages on women empowerment and organ donation, which are nice additions. However, the story and screenplay aren’t convincing enough to leave a lasting impact on the audience.

Overall Verdict

‘Sikandar’ is entirely focused on Salman Khan. If you’re a die-hard Salman fan, you’ll enjoy it. But if you’re looking for a strong story and well-executed screenplay, the movie might feel average.

Rating: ⭐⭐✨ (2.5/5)

So, that was my review of ‘Sikandar’. If you’ve watched the film, do share your opinions.
